Expanding Light

I have been at the Expanding Light Meditation yoga retreat and Ananda Spiritual Village in Nevada City for over 2 weeks now. (http://www.expandinglight.org/) It has been such a beautiful and truly expanding experience so far. I have realized so much about getting out of my cocoon and into my role as a spiritual teacher. I had been living a very hermetical life for the past 4 years and my Soul truly got called into service and into Ananda. The hindu word for Divine Bliss.

Living in the midst of like minded others that are striving for the spiritual life has been a wonderful experience. Paramahansa Yoganada was a Saint. a True Avatar Being of the Light who passed on in 1952. His message is so beautiful, powerful and so appropriate even for these current times.

I soooo appreciate at this time in my life the teachings, the lessons, the views and techniques he taught and shared for one to reach Samadhi or Self realization. I feel so blessed to be able to be here and have this experience as part of my own inner journey to higher revelations of my own Souls growth.

I will stay here and continue in service after this yoga teacher training is over in another 3 weeks. I will surrender the old me in the crucible of the fire purification going on here for all of the Village. Everyone surrenders it all up to Spirit every Sunday in a service and ceremony for the continual cleansing of what holds us back from our inner Oneness with the Truth of our Soul.

We do our Sadhana (spiritual practices) every morning at sunrise for 2 hours, meditation, enerigization and yoga, plus prayers and chanting. This starts the day so beautifully.

Then we keep centered in conscious awareness in our daily routine. I love that total surrender to the moment, and the letting go of all that is holding us back from being peace. Stepping out of the little ego at every opportunity.

What a great learning experience this is......for me. Letting go of the familiar to be raw in the moment of NOW. To be the cauldron, the mixing bowl of my Souls Higher calling.

I still do not know what is next after these next 3-4 months. I think of where I will be next but have no idea how.....and that is how it is, how it needs to be right now.

Hi Jewel - Thanks for stopping by to say Hello and to keep all of us updated on your beautiful and blessedly unique path of deep devotion to The One. I have a friend here who is living in the Ananda Community, so Igo there from time to time (just to see her). It's a sweet place and a unique community. I have another friend who lived in the Nevada City community and had a wonderful experience there. So, it sounds like Spirit is taking you where It knows is best...for each moment. Big times, Big transformation, Big challenges for planet earth beings just now, but I feel so hopeful for all the changes I'm witnessing. These times are the miracle....and you are a miracle. Hi Donna,
It is nice to hear from you here. I have been getting just snipets of time online, but I do get to check in still ;-)

I still do not know what the future holds, but I am surely going to be teaching spiritual yoga in my Temple of Peace somewhere, somehow. Let me know if anything in your area comes up that would be a place for me to land again when this is finished here. I feel I will stay here a few more months and then manifest a place to be. I think of Portland as one possibility. There is that Ananda Center there which would be a great grounding for me after being here. It is all up tot he Divine at this juncture. And happy, happy, 11/11!!!!
