The Collective Child Grows Up
We're holding our collective breath. Where will our sustenance come from, if at all?
We're afraid. Knees are rattling. Teeth chattering. Paralysis taking over. Hiding in our shell waiting for the coast to clear, for a miracle of unbounded prosperity. It won't come...
Welcome to the adult world of duality.
After a twelve year feast at the Bakers' Square in the sky, we're falling to earth buzzing on sugar and bloated with pie. Send the bill to my investment adviser.
Too late to lynch Merrill Lynch...as if that would solve anything anyway. Besides, were we forced to buy their bull? Certainly not. But, there were compelling forces afoot. And, they've cycled into equally compelling forces going in a drastically different direction.
Those new forces are coming to the first of many heads. And, we're sensing them already. We're grieving. We're tired and beaten down. We're sick for long periods and without seeming cause. We need a huge cry. We need to vomit to release the knot in our gut. We need. Like little children. And, this time, we know better than to find a fuhrer.
So, what then? We'll find out as we approach this total solar eclipse on the 21st. The lights are dramatically dimming on our collective past. There'll be no turning back this time...successfully, that is.
Are we ready to live with a collapsed financial system? It's not collapsed yet, just depressed. Are we ready to live with a collapsed government? It's not collapsed yet, just crumbling. Are we ready to stand on our own two feet, leave mommy and daddy security and fend for ourselves? Do we have the emotional strength to grow up and replace childish attachments with adult relationships with each other?
Are we ready to take our power to TRULY create the world we all talk about here? Can we stand having the power at the bottom of the pyramid instead of at the top? Can we do without the pyramid completely? We'll soon see.
We're growing up...collectively. Let's breathe through it, sigh out the fear and let our much needed energy flow. We might all die in the process, but we WILL all die if we keep holding our breath. What have we got to lose? Our suffocating past and its dependency, our childhood. What have we to gain? The responsible, creative freedom of adulthood.
